Arise, shine; for thy light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1)
Let us go into the house of the Lord. Let us make a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalms)
The hand of the Lord firmly rests upon the people of Dixwell Ave UCC Church. He has blessed this household of faith for more than 189 years – through slavery, the Emancipation Proclamation, Jim Crow, the Civil Rights movement, and now the first African American President in US history. He has made Dixwell a beacon on a hill. Dixwell’s enduring legacy is that of a church that worships. Worship is the cornerstone of all that sustains and fuels the people at Dixwell. Our faith is firmly rooted in praising and acknowledging our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
